What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files which are saved on your computer, telephone or tablet when you visit the site. Cookies help the website to remember your settings for some period. The idea is to facilitate the experience while browsing the site – so you do not have to change settings every time you visit the website or when you navigate between different pages. You can remove or block cookies. This, however, can affect the functionality of the website.

There are two types of cookies: permanent and session cookies. Permanent cookies are stored as a file on your device for a longer period. They allow you to adjust the website according to your preferences, choices and interests. When the expiry date passes the cookies are erased when you return to the website which created it. Session cookies are temporary files which are placed on your computer and are sent between your computer and the server when you visit the website and removed when you close your web-browser.

Why do we use cookies?

Our website recognises your device when you visit us more than once because of cookies on our site. We even use cookies to evaluate user’s search and usage behaviour to further improve Sentor’s services. The purpose is to optimise user experience of our home page, to individualise marketing as well as for statistical purposes. It can occur that the information is shared with other companies to produce statistics. Cookies are not used to identify you as an individual.

Refuse Remarketing

As mentioned above, we use Google services such as Google AdWords and Google Analytics for remarketing purposes. You can refuse data collection for remarketing purposes by visiting Google’s Ads Preference Manager at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/, and Google Analytics Opt-out browser Add-on at https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/plugin/.

If you want to object to a collection of data that are generated by Google Analytics, you can download a browser add-on under the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and install it. This browser add-on tells Google Analytics that any data and information about the visits of Internet pages may not be transmitted to Google Analytics.

The installation of the browser add-ons is considered an objection by Google. Google Analytics is further explained under the following link: https://www.google.com/analytics/.
